Although I appreciate the opportunity to respond, and your willingness to survey, I found the survey rather inane because it was too brief and did not allow for options.
Road repair was not an option, so I selected Public Safety. Will I pay my fair share of a tax increase which will reduce the deficit? Absolutely. Are the fees on businesses too high? You bet. The climate in Illinois for new business is at an all-time low.
Fiscal responsibility should be the byline of the Republican party. Comprimise should be its partner. Get past the name calling and trivial spats. Sit down with the other side and agree to get things done. Madigan may be tough, but this is the best time ever to form a working team. Jones, on the other hand, is out of control. You have to deal with him from a position of power.ie.with Madigan.
Roads and the deficit cannot be ignored any longer. Take away Blago's plane and let him drive on our roads.
